Dhatki language also known as Dhati or Thari language it is one of the Rajasthani language and belongs to Indo-Aryan branch and Indo-European family. Dhatki language is mixture of Marwari, Sindhi, and Rajasthani languages. In Marwari desert called as Dhat or Dat that’s why we called Dhatki language. Dhatki language is spoken in India and Pakistan, in India Dhatki language is spoken in west part of Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jaipur, and Jodhpur districts of Rajasthan and in Pakistan east part of Sindh province like Umerkot, Nagarparkar, Tharparkar and in some major cities of Sindh like Hyderabad, Karachi and Mirpurkhas where people speak Dhatki language those who migrate from their homeland for job purpose or any other reason.

Dhatki language is mostly related with Gujrati and Rajasthani language and most words taken from Sanskrit, Gujrati, and Rajasthani language but written form Dhatki follow Sindh script because in Pakistan most of peoples do not understand Devanagari script that’s why we follow Sindhi script.
